This week felt like another version of last week. Not in a bad way but in the sense that we took another field trip. I actually liked this field trip a lot more than the one from last week. The trip really started when after we got split up and my group sat in a conference room with a psychologist. She explained how her job works, how college was for her, and much more. She began describing what it would take to be where she is job wise. She stated around eight or nine years of college. She then began talking to us about how she helps her patients, began describing how their confidentiality works. It is something that is very important as the psychologist can not legally say anything to anyone no matter what. Expect if they say they want to harm themselves or others. They even said that they publicly can not say if the patient even goes to that psychologist or not.
After that we went into even smaller groups. We went to a few different sections. However I preferred one section over the rest. And that was the last one. The last one was a version of how we see words. So the lady had a piece of paper with words of colors. So the word blue or green, one sheet had the words corresponding with the colors, the other had one where it was intentionally not matching the colors. This really like opened my eyes because I was able to see how we as people work mentally as far as when someone sees a certain word and how that thought registers to their mind. This one was the most fascinating to me.
