I think my biggest learning experience this week would be the pig dissection. I feel like I never took anatomy too seriously because I do not think that would be a career choice for me. However just looking at the pig while we dissected it made me realize the importance of anatomy of not only humans but other animals to. I was in a way shocked, at how much the pigs insides resemble a humans!I was able to see how the heart is surrounded by the lungs and how the liver and intestine rest near each other. I never really took this type of stuff as a learning experience because it would mostly go out my ear as soon as it went in. However when we had started to cut open the pig and really analyze what we were doing and how we were moving it around and how the organs were laid out. It made me appreciate it a lot more. I do have a lot more questions. I want to learn more about the anatomy as far as overall information. I was able to gather a lot of info as to what we're doing but could use more clarification. Now that I take this in a almost more seriously way I feel like I have more questions and more overall drive to do it. I did enjoy the dissection and am excited to continue it as far as going more in depth and looking into the brain and more than we already have. I am really hyped and overall looking forward to further things involving the anatomy.
