I would say I went into my internship with a somewhat basic knowledge as to what to do. I had a good idea what an office would be like, I knew how to use photoshop, how to research and how to put together cohesive documents and spreadsheets. However going into my office for the first time, I could already tell it was not the "average" office, you could feel the fact that it had a different vibe, it was very casual. Yet professional at the same time
The fact that my office was able to hold a similar energy to my school showed me not everything is serious and superlinear. My office managed to strike the casual nature while also keeping it professional and getting meaningful work done.
Apart from that back to my computer skills, I knew how to photoshop already going in. I knew how to create images. However I was pushed extremely hard at my internship to do more and create more. I would spend days creating drafts of one poster. Most of the images I had created had been for myself. They were for me, they were for myself. It was not for a company. So I had to think of what a company would want and what they would want there work to look like. I was able to take my amatur knowledge of photoshop and was able to make my work more professional and more appealing to the creators and consumers.
