The Power Within Project
This project is all about where our power comes from. Almost like a chose one thing about you type project. Except we were doing where out power comes from. So when we were first given this project we looked at writing in general and how certain types of deep writing can effect the tone of your piece. We started to read on how showing rather then telling is so powerful. Even though this is an obvious thing we learn at a young age in school it is something we needed still. We found that in describing situations instead of simply telling us about them or even describing them normally is not good enough. Rather we should put all the detail into the scene. We should try our very best at making the audience feel as if they were there to experience the event with you.
I had a few different ideas when creating my story. Originally I wanted to do a story in the perspective of my father. And obviously I could not do that it needed to be a story on something I have gone through. My story drastically changed when I got to my second draft. I did a story from my perspective instead and did one about my thoughts and how my brain works. It was a good bare bones piece to start with.

The next few drafts were just more and more refined versions of the last one. My story did not drastically change to much until I got to the sixth draft. Here my story got a lot more detailed and really went hard into the events. Instead of just talking about certain things I would actually take the time to describe the events by explaining the setting and the people in it.
Critique
For the most part the criqtieus went the same. We would get in groups and each of us read our story then spend time going over certain questions we had or questions that Mr. Max wanted answered. I was never really scared or worried about people critiquing my story. I was open to it and did not mind it. I felt overall like the feedback was needed to make my story better and see the good and bad that I could not see already.
I made my scrpit pretty easy. I only really put cues in for when I feel like I would talk fast. So there were some slowdown cues

but other then that it was pretty tame. Other then that I put breathe cues when I would need it, and underlined the words to let myself know when to look up at the audience or look around in general. I honestly do not think there is any secret way or anything like that as to how I scripted my story. I just did what worked for me and kept it moving from there.
